Violations committed by militants and extremists in the East of Ukraine.

 Extremists, pro-Russian militants and Russian military in eastern Ukraine violated many laws of Ukraine. Some of the more serious violations include:

1) Illegal armed rebellion. Pro-Russian militants took up arms against the government of Ukraine, which is a violation of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

2) Terrorism. Militants and extremists committed terrorist acts against civilians, which is a violation of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

3) Illegal armed formation. Militants and pro-Russian extremists created illegal armed formations, which is a violation of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

4) Violation of the laws and customs of war. Extremists, pro-Russian militants and the Russian military have committed numerous war crimes, including executions of civilians for political and religious beliefs, executions of prisoners, torture, illegal imprisonment, kidnapping, involvement of minors in hostilities, and much more. This is a violation of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

5) Illegal border crossing. Militants crossed Ukraine's border with Russia illegally, which is a violation of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

6) Dissemination of propaganda that promotes the commission of terrorist acts. Pro-Russian militants used propaganda to attract new fighters and inspire them to commit terrorist acts, in violation of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

This is not a complete list of violations of Ukrainian laws committed by militants, extremists and russian military in eastern Ukraine, but these violations are serious and have had a significant impact on the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
